Saturno CDI replacement

Post by MarkBacon » Thu Apr 10, 2025 1:33 am

I've just replaced the CDI in my Saturno with an ACCDIV14 unit from https://transmic.fr. There was a wrinkle in getting it running correctly as the Saturno stator needed to be connected as for half rectification rather than full, but Thierry at Transmic was very helpful and patient with me.

It's running well using an advance curve based on that provided by CB in https://gileraclub.de/viewtopic.php?p=3 ... RVE#p31858. I've upped the advance at 1500 to 8 degrees and I'm just about to try pulling it back a few degrees 2500-3500 rpm as it's running a little warm at a constant 3000 rpm. So there's a bit of dialling in to do, but the wifi connection to the Transmic unit makes that easy to do in test rides using your mobile phone.

Other non-default settings I'm using:
  • Kick speed: 500
  • Pickup position: 38 degrees

thanks for sharing this
Keep us informed.
I think it will be important for Saturno owners more and more
The original black boxes are getting older and older and....
Maybe some of use have spare boxes or can get hands on one for a lot of money
Alternatives, beside IgniTec, are welcome

ciao Joachim
